Statics and Dynamics Laboratory is one of the learning and research laboratories in Department of Engineering Mechanics, Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. We are located at Block G2, Wing E, FKMP Complex of Technology , Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, UTHM, Parit Raja , Batu Pahat, Johore , Malaysia. This laboratory is always open to all UTHM students, staffs as well researchers within the university or industries.
This laboratory is primarily used to provide and conduct engineering laboratory experiments on principles of statics and dynamics. Usually, this lab is used for undergraduate student to their laboratory experiment especially in statics and dynamics field. Students will be conducted various experiments related to the topics what have their learned before in lecture. They also will learn the procedures of measurement, software application and be familiar with the practicle apparatus of statics and dynamics.
We also welcome to students who do a research especially post graduate students (PhD, Msc) and also for undergraduate final project (PSM) at Statics and Dynamics Laboratory, UTHM. Presently, few research students and staff are regular using available research equipments in our laboratory for their research. At this moment, our laboratory are consists of latest version of PAM Crash and Safe Software from ESI Group used to investigate the vehicle crashworthiness and occupant safety analysis. Current project done by our own department research group which is called Advanced Dynamics and Vehicle Safety Research Group (ADVeS). We also equipped with precision balance that usually used for research activity.
From year to year, our laboratory tries to improve the equipment with new and advanced technologies and equipments in order to enhance the research attitude among students and researchers on this field.
